After breakfast in Moshi, you will meet your professional mountain guide and crew before driving to Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Lemosho Route. Upon arrival, your guide will complete the park registration and entry procedures while the porters organize the trekking equipment.
You will then continue to the Lemosho trailhead and begin your hike through the beautiful montane rainforest. The trail is surrounded by lush vegetation, tall trees, birds, and other forest wildlife.
Your guide will set a comfortable “pole pole” (slowly, slowly) pace, allowing you to conserve energy and begin adapting gradually to the mountain environment.
After several hours of hiking, you will arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp, where the mountain crew will have prepared your tents. You will enjoy dinner and have time to rest in preparation for the next day's trek.

You will continue along the scenic Lemosho trail toward the spectacular Shira Plateau. As you gain altitude, you will begin to enjoy wider views of the surrounding landscape and, weather permitting, impressive views toward the higher peaks of Kilimanjaro.
The trail is steady, allowing you to maintain a comfortable pace while your body gradually adjusts to the increasing elevation. Your guide will provide regular breaks for hydration and rest.
After several hours of trekking, you will arrive at Shira 1 Camp, where your mountain crew will have prepared your campsite. You will enjoy lunch, relax, and take in the beautiful mountain scenery before dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will leave Shira 1 Camp and continue your trek across the spectacular high-altitude landscape of Mount Kilimanjaro. Today's route is an important part of your acclimatization, following the principle of “climb high, sleep low.”
The trail gradually ascends toward Lava Tower, reaching approximately 4,600 meters above sea level. Along the way, the landscape changes from moorland to the more rugged alpine desert, with impressive views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding volcanic terrain.
You will take regular breaks and enjoy a picnic lunch along the route while your guide monitors your condition and helps you maintain a slow, steady pace.
After reaching Lava Tower, you will begin descending toward Barranco Camp. This gradual descent helps your body adjust to the higher altitude while allowing you to sleep at a lower elevation.
As you approach Barranco, you will see the impressive Barranco Wall rising above the valley, together with unique giant senecio plants and dramatic volcanic scenery.
Upon arrival at Barranco Camp, you will settle into your tent, enjoy dinner, and rest in preparation for the next day's trek.

Once you reach the top of the wall, you will be rewarded with spectacular views across the Barranco Valley and toward the upper slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The trail then continues through a series of ridges and valleys toward Karanga Camp. After a short rest, you will continue your ascent toward Barafu Camp, the final base camp before your summit attempt.
As you climb higher, the vegetation becomes increasingly sparse and the landscape changes into the rugged alpine desert environment.
Upon reaching Barafu Camp, you will have lunch and time to rest. Your guide will provide a detailed summit briefing, checking your equipment and explaining the schedule and safety procedures for the upcoming summit night.
You will have an early dinner and are encouraged to rest as much as possible, as the summit attempt will begin around midnight.

You will start hiking in darkness, using headlamps as you slowly ascend toward Stella Point on the crater rim. Your guide will maintain a slow and steady pace, with regular breaks to help you manage the high altitude and conserve energy.
After several hours of climbing, you will reach Stella Point at approximately 5,739 meters. From here, you will continue along the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters.
Upon reaching Uhuru Peak, you will have time to celebrate your achievement, take photographs, and enjoy the incredible views, weather and mountain conditions permitting.
After spending some time at the summit, you will begin your descent toward Barafu Camp. You will take a short rest and have lunch before continuing down toward Mweka Camp.
