Day 1 - Nairobi- Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru. Enjoy a game drive in the park, famous for its white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras and diverse birdlife. Visit scenic viewpoints overlooking the lake before settling into your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive before travelling towards the Maasai Mara. Arrive in the afternoon, check in and head out for your first Maasai Mara game drive, exploring the endless savannah in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.

Day 3 - Masai Mara Reserve - Full Day
Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Discover one of Africa’s most famous wildlife ecosystems and enjoy excellent opportunities to see the Big Five. During the July–October migration season, you may also witness large herds of wildebeest and other dramatic wildlife activity, subject to seasonal conditions.

Day 4 - Masai Mara National Reserve- Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. After checking out, begin your scenic journey back to Nairobi, with an optional stop for photographs or local cultural experiences along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon or early evening.

I booked a one-day safari to Lake Nakuru National Park from Nairobi with Lejama Tours this past July, and it exceeded all my expectations! Visiting during the dry July season was ideal the cool Great Rift Valley weather made for comfortable game viewing, and the wildlife activity around the lake was incredible. Our day began with a punctual early-morning pickup in Nairobi. We traveled in a well-maintained safari vehicle featuring a pop-up roof, which proved essential once inside the park. It offered 360-degree views for spotting wildlife across the acacia woodlands and lakeshore. The vehicle was clean, spacious, and handled the scenic drive down the Rift Valley escarpment effortlessly. Our tour guide Mr Japheth Mwanzia, made the experience unforgettable. He was professional, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about the park’s wildlife. Thanks to his sharp eyes and tracking expertise, we spotted rare black and white rhinos grazing up close, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and flocks of flamingos and pelicans lining the water. He also drove us up to Baboon Cliff for a panoramic view of the entire lake basin. His pacing was spot-on, ensuring we never felt rushed despite the single-day itinerary. Lejama Tours executed the entire day seamlessly, balancing comfortable transit, expert guiding, and magnificent wildlife sightings. In August 2026, my two friends and I had an amazing three-day safari to the Maasai Mara with Lejama Tours from Nairobi. From the beginning to the end, the trip was well organized, enjoyable, and full of unforgettable memories. Our tour guide was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the Maasai Mara and its wildlife. He made the game drives exciting by explaining the different animals, their behavior, and the surrounding environment. He was also excellent at spotting wildlife, and we were lucky to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and many other animals in their natural habitat. The safari vehicle was comfortable, clean, and spacious, making our long drives much more enjoyable. It also provided excellent views during the game drives, allowing us to take plenty of photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The Maasai Mara itself was breathtaking, especially during the August season. The landscapes, wildlife, and peaceful surroundings made the experience truly special. We never felt rushed and had enough time to enjoy every moment. Overall, my two friends and I had a fantastic experience with Lejama Tours.
