Overview
This fly-in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater luxury safari starts and ends at Zanzibar Airport. It can be extended for more days in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and other northern Tanzania parks. It can also be customized to include a flight from and back to Dar es Salaam (DAR), Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) before or after the safari. Let us know your preferences so they can be included in your prices. Please share your ideas, and this can be arranged accordingly.

Day 1 - Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park
Fly from Zanzibar Airport at 07h35 and arrive in Serengeti at 10h50. On arrival at Seronera Airstrip, meet your professional and well-experienced local English-speaking safari driver-guide. After greetings, he will give you a short pre-safari briefing and then embark on a game drive in Serengeti National Park for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.
The Serengeti, at 15,000 square kilometers, is one of the largest parks in Africa. It is home to some 3 million large mammals and has a diversity of landscapes. The southern region is dominated by the lush grassy plains, which draw about 2 million wildebeest, half a million zebra and some quarter million antelope to make the hazardous journey in search of pasture when the autumn rains come.

Day 3 - Serengeti To Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After a hot lunch at Ngorongoro Lodge, go on an afternoon crater tour.
Descend 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely, a caldera). This 304 square kilometer enclosed ecosphere was formed some 2 or 3 million years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro. It offers the best game-viewing opportunities in Tanzania.
Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos, and the open savannah where the lions hunt. With some 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see, in addition to the "Big Five" (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), animals such as wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippo, antelope, both Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, and impala, to name a few, as well as over 500 bird species.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro - Arusha - Zanzibar
After breakfast, drive to Arusha and have lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport, where you will bid farewell to your guide and the incredible wilderness you have explored over the past 4 days. As you board your flight, you will carry memories that will last a lifetime and a deep appreciation for the beauty and diversity of Tanzania's wildlife and landscapes.

Let me start by saying that I have always dreamed of a safari trip to Tanzania. I told my husband of this dream and he decided to surprise me by putting together a 2 week safari/beach birthday trip for us. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit worried about leaving him to plan it on his own (I’m always the one who plan/book our vacations). Thankfully he chose to book it with Tanzania Safaris, and I could not have been happier! Every single detail was thought and taken care of! From airport transfers, to the registrations in the national parks (I didn’t even know we needed that!), and the location of the lodgings, Stacy thought of everything which gave us (especially me) peace of mind and the opportunity to just relax. The hotels and lodges we stayed were absolutely beautiful with great views and delicious food. Our guide Isaac had over 25 years of experience, and you could tell by the way he could spot animals from a distance and know every detail about them (I’m sure he has superpowers). We saw all the big 5 and then some. We were more than happy with our experience, and I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday (Christmas and New Years too).
