Overview

 With a grand expanse of 65,000 hectares, the Sabi Sands Nature Reserve serves as a testament to the visionary efforts of local landowners who laid the foundation in the 1950s.

It proudly borders the renowned Kruger National Park, forming a vast and flourishing wilderness brimming with diverse wildlife. The continued dedication of these original families, now in their third and fourth generations, has resulted in the successful preservation of South Africa's most abundant population of large game.

The boundary of Sabi Sands, stretching 50 kilometers, is notably unfenced, allowing for a harmonious coexistence with the Kruger National Park and granting animals the freedom to roam.

This has led to spectacular sightings of the elusive leopard, among other remarkable encounters with the native creatures. Adding to the dynamic landscape are the Sabi and Sand Rivers, meandering through the reserve and contributing to the rich biodiversity of this extraordinary habitat.
