Kora National Park

Overview

Wild, beautiful, but less visited; those are the exact words often used to describe Kora National Park, the resting place of George Adamson and his brother Terrence. There's a distinct nostalgic feeling that you will experience imagining how people used to live back in the day when Adamson lived in this place. And it's, without a doubt, worth every penny. 

Kora National Park is extremely wide and directly connects to Meru and Tsavo West National Parks. The entire Kora's landscape is characterized by a rugged environment full of rock outcrops, acacia woodland, and scrubs. 
Often overlooked, Kora is the best destination for a more up-close and personal safari, as the Park is dedicated to the rehabilitation of lions. Kampi ya Simba (Camp of Lions), found inside Kora, is the rehab centre focused on introducing the lions back into their natural environment in the Kora's wild. 

You are also likely to encounter local communities in the nearby villages; Asako, Boka and Kamaguru. A few of the locals are actually actively involved in the conversation of the Kora National Park and other tourist-related projects. So you might encounter them within the Park as well.
