Overview
The Panorama Route is a scenic tourist route located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. It stretches over 220 kilometers through the spectacular landscape of the Drakensberg Mountains and encompasses some of the most breathtaking views in the country.
The route begins at the town of Graskop and winds through the natural wonders of the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third largest canyon in the world. With its steep cliffs and lush greenery, the canyon offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Next is Bourke’s Luck Potholes, a series of cylindrical rock formations created by centuries of erosion by the Blyde and Treur rivers. The potholes are named after prospector Tom Bourke and are a popular spot for photography and hiking.
