GETTING TO AND AROUND KENYA

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
Almost all Pollman's safaris in Kenya start and finish in Nairobi. JKIA International Airport is about 20 miles from Nairobi and has a daily service on British Airways and Kenya Airways from London and a daily service from Amsterdam with KLM. There are also flights from many other countries on a daily, or less regular basis.

There are several charter flights from Europe into Mombasa. These are mostly booked by tour operators running package tours but space may be available on a "seat only" basis. U.S. and Canadian residents will need to fly via a European airport (or South Africa) as there are no direct flights from the USA to East Africa.

NAIROBI TO ARUSHA & ZANZIBAR FLIGHTS
There are flights available from Nairobi airport to Kilimanjaro airport. This service can be useful, but the cost is a great deal higher than a private road transfer and the net time saving on a city centre to city centre basis is not great. Kenya Airways also has a daily service to Zanzibar from Nairobi.

INTERNAL FLIGHTS
Internally, Kenya Airways has frequent daily flights between Nairobi and Mombasa. Air Kenya and other local carriers run scheduled flights between Nairobi and the major game parks. Some flight services are available direct from Mombasa to the game parks and some scheduled services operate direct between the various game parks (e.g. Samburu to the Mara),

In addition to the scheduled flights on light aircraft, there are charter airlines which can arrange flights between any of the destinations.
